GOOD NEWS FOR PC PATIENTS AND ALL RARE DISEASE PATIENTS

Landmark legislation passed the U.S. Senate today aimed at helping promote the development of rare disease therapies. Senate Bill 3187, the Food and Drug Administration Safety & Innovation Act of 2012 (FDASIA) will improve the FDA regulatory process, provide incentives to invest in rare disease therapies, and expand scientific capability to develop cutting-edge therapies. The U.S. House of Representatives is working on a companion bill, HR 5651, and is expected to pass when the House resumes its session at the beginning of June.  

PC Project has been following this legislative effort for some time and has been actively supporting its passage.  We believe this will help PC patients in the long run.
