PC Project Representatives tell their stories on Capitol Hill as they advocate for NIH funding for skin disease research

PC and PC Project were represented on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. this past week as part of the Coalition of Skin Diseases. This powerful group of patient advocates spent one day in training, and the next day, visited the offices of House and Senate leaders to share their personal stories and make specific asks.
A heartfelt thank you to PCer Robert Santos and his wonderful wife, Shannon, for volunteering their time to share their personal stories and represent PC patients and others living with skin diseases. They spoke directly with lawmakers about key bills and funding that could impact the lives of millions of people living with skin diseases.
Special thanks to the Coalition of Skin Diseases (CSD) for sponsoring this important event – a vital step in making sure our voices are heard by those who have the power to create real and meaningful change for patients like those with PC who suffer each day from their rare skin disease.
