My PC Valentine

February 13, 2024

Who is your PC Valentine? Share the love through the #MyPCValentine campaign and let us know who yours is! We will then share your submission here and also on our PC Facebook and Instagram pages.

Thanks to everyone who participated in our Valentine campaign this year. There is so much love in our PC community!

Please enjoy the posts below which were featured on our Facebook and Social Media platforms during the week of Valentine’s.

The instructions were to:
Write a short description of why that certain person in your life is wonderful and upload a photo here: survey.alchemer.com/s3/7186821/MyPCValentine
You can choose your child, husband, wife, best friend, mom, dad, doctor, siblings, caregivers, or anyone important to you to be your PC Valentine. This can be anyone who has PC or who helps you with PC.

PC Valentines 2024

“My PC Valentine is my daughter Jinte. She is the most amazing baby and always laughs at us. I wish her all the best in life. I just love her so so much!” – Susanne

“My eternal love for my daughter has no limit and I don’t know where I would be if it wasn’t for her. It seems like an obvious phrase because you need help, yes, that’s true. But, what about emotional help?! I think it matters more. I love you more than my own life because it was you who gave me life and taught me how to live it despite everything. I admire your every breath, your smile and I love you, if possible, more and more. Thank you for being the person you are.” – Mia

“My daughter Blake is my PC Valentine. Blake has a K6A spontaneous mutation. She amazes me everyday because although she’s only 16 months old and has a long road ahead of her, she has already endured more (both PC related and not) than our other 3 kids combined, and she faces every adventure and challenge with a smile on her face. She has been so strong through all the appointments, poking, prodding, tests and hospital trips. But at some point, through any of these times, she’ll look at you and smile the biggest smile ever, and with that she lets you know she’s going to be okay.” – James

“My husband is the first person I know with PC and our baby may have it too. I have a lot of love and pride for my family. ❤️” – Carolina

“We are blessed with two PC Valentines this year! They have the sweetest bond and can light up anyone’s day! We love watching them grow!” – Sarah

“My 14 year old Allison is my PC valentine. She has K6a. Her PC is a spontaneous mutation. She shows strength and courage each day. Allison’s smile and laugh lights up a room. She loves adventure especially mountain biking and skiing.” – Christine

“Olivia es #MyPCValentine porque es la sonrisa más amorosa y tierna del mundo. Aún con dolor siempre permanece fuerte 💪 y dispuesta a seguir adelante. Aprendo cada día de ella. 💕” – Karem

“These are my two sons. My precious #MyPCValentine‘s. Franek is 6 and a half, Miłosz is almost 4 years old. They inherited PC from me… this makes me sad sometimes and I feel like a bad and selfish person. But most of the time I’m so grateful and privileged to be the mom of these two energetic and cheerful boys. I love them more than anything!” – Aleksandra

“My PC Valentine is the little girl who made me a Dad. Every day is a chance to learn and grow. Being a source of support for her means the world as I didn’t have that as a child, being a spontaneous mutation.” – Robert

“Our son Krew is our PC Valentine. He is a K6a spontaneous mutation, so we like to say he really is one in a million. He has shown us so much strength and resiliency in being a premie baby and having a rare disease. He is the love of our life and couldn’t imagine life without him.” – Parent of a PCer.

“My PC Valentine is my son Thomas! ❤️ He is smart, strong, and compassionate! His laugh is one of the most beautiful sounds in the world! He is an amazing son and brother! #PCSTRONG #MYVALENTINE❤️” – Rachel

“These are my two PC Valentines! My husband and my 4th baby, now 2 years old. Eric is the most wonderful, patient, loving husband and father and River is the most adorable and sweetest toddler you will ever meet.” – Nastasha.

“My daughter Cecilia is not only my special PC Valentine, she is my whole life, my strength, my happiness. She is my little person, my “amore piccino”. She recently turned one and even though it wasn’t easy, especially the first few months, she overcame with strength and determination all the obstacles that PC has put in front of her up to now, with much, much more strength than me. She got PC from my partner who got it from his mother. Both she and her dad are my PC Valentines. They are strong and resilient. He is a pianist and a composer and she has loved hearing him play since he was still in my belly. They are my precious treasure and I love them beyond all limits.” – Sara

“Merci à Laurent mon mari qui avant de nous rencontrer, ne connaissait rien de l’handicap invisible et des maladies rares. Aujourd’hui, c’est un beau papa présent, aimant, tolérant…qui supporte du mieux qu’il peut Paul dans sa PC. Nous t’aimons 💓” – Delphine

“Thank you to Laurent, my husband, who before meeting us, knew nothing about invisible disability and rare diseases. Today, he is a beautiful, present, loving, tolerant dad. He is a real support for my son Paul who has PC. We love you 💓” – Delphine
