A special fundraiser for those who suffer from painful calluses
Thanks to all who joined us as we to celebrated the Quinoa Harvest and immersed ourselves in the vibrant culture of the Andean region, all while raising funds for PC research!

About this event for Pachyonychia Congenita
The 4th annual Quinoa Harvest and Andean Festival, a day full of activities to support PC patients worldwide, was organized by Dr. Roger Kaspar and his family. Nearly $2000 was raised for PC research.
The day began with a breakfast at the Two Sunsets hotel, followed by a morning hike with llamas to Casto Canyon where all were treated to a concert of traditional Andean music against a stunning backdrop.
Lunchtime featured a Taste of Quinoa potluck with presentations by quinoa experts and llama rides for children. Who knew that there were so many different – and delicious – ways to eat Quinoa?
The finale and highlight of the day was a delicious Peruvian buffet (La Carreta restaurant) with traditional lomo saltado, quinoa, and chicha morada, among other Peruvian delights. For desert, Andean ice cream flavors and dark chocolate quinoa crunch bars were served, all while enjoying the enchanting music from Los Hermanos de Los Andes, a traditional Andean musical group and authentic dancing from Latin Dance Heritage.
As part of the program, PC Project honored Dr. Kaspar and his family for their years of dedication and service to PC research and to the PC community.
All proceeds from the festival went to PC Project, our non-profit patient advocacy group, dedicated to helping those with this painful and debilitating rare skin disorder. More event details and updates can be found at www.panguitchgem.com/quinoa.
We are so grateful to the Kaspar family! If you are ever in Panguitch (or nearby to tour Bryce Canyon National Park), we invite you to visit the Gem theater and stay at the Historic Two Sunsets Hotel on Main street in support of the Kaspar family who selflessly gives their hearts to PC patients.
